Hello, I am Christopher Anderson. I am not a blog person, but since this is Zoints, I will make an exception and see how things go. Right now my primary interest is American politics. My main hobby is participating in American Government Simulation, which I invite you to look at here:

The game is one of the more fun I have played. There's intrigue, backstabbing, negotiations, press release wars, and more. Currently my character is Don Vertex, a Democrat who was recently elected Senator of California. And let me say that Senate election was a grueling process which took almost two months and at minimum an hour a day of commitment.
Presidential races are coming up now and the Democratic Party is going to be electing a Chairman and a Party Leader. Exciting events are taking place, and I hope that it should be interesting reading about all of the difficult decisions and political maneuvering that this simulation will entail. That's what I'll dedicate this blog to, and I'll use the discussions section to pose related questions.Let me wrap up with a short description of important people in the simulation.
Richard Williams (richardwilliams): President of the United States. He is a centrist Democrat who is pro-life and deeply religious. This guy exercises a tremendous amount of control over the Democratic Party.
Stephen Coyle (Stephen Coyle): Majority Coalition Leader. He is the guy who keeps Democrats and Democraft-affiliated independents together. Does a great job and has a lot of support.
Mike Adams (gatoradams): Ex-President who was forced to resign due to in-character prostate cancer, out-of-character inactivity. He is making a comeback now and is running for Democratic Party Chair.
Nation Hahn (Nation86): Democratic Senator from North Carolina. He is a liberal guy who is not afraid to stand up against authority in the DNC. He has his fair share of enemies in the DNC, but also his fair share of supporters. I am one of the folks who likes him.
Joseph R. Schmidt (Robert Schmidt, CH): Minority Coalition Leader, and de facto head of the Republican Party. This is a conniving guy with no morals. At one point he actually impersonated the Democratic Party whip in order to get Democrats to change their votes on a critical piece of legislation.
